My name is Alesander Velasco and I was born in 1992 in Barcelona, Spain. I started taking photos when I was 12 with a HP Photosmart 735 but really my passion for photography began in 2008 when I started to photograph nature subjects with a Panasonic FZ18.

I wanted to learn how to improve my photos and I started to read a lot of about photography. Later, when my photos were improving a little I decided to buy my first digital reflex, a Canon 450D with a Sigma 18-200 OS. I chose Canon digital SLR cameras because in a near future I will add to my equipment the professional L lens of Canon. Originally I chose an extreme range zoom lens, Sigma 18-200 OS, for comfort sake. Later I realized that I had to replace my lens for another that gave me more image quality but less range zoom, and that was the Tamron 17-50 f2.8. It is a very good lens with a very good quality image but I know that in a future it will be replace for a L lens. Recently, I have bought a new lens, the Canon 100mm macro f 2.8 USM that is absolutely fantastic.

Even the best equipment does not guarantee good photos; nevertheless, I know that it is very important. I created this website because I would like to share my photos. Hope everybody enjoys my photos and my web.
